The trailer slowly rolled behind the large truck. It rocked back and forth as its inhabitants grew restless from the long trip. Natalie jumped out of the passenger seat before it had even been put in park, her bright smile greeting the others as they came to see the new horses. John chuckled as he parked the truck and stepped out. "Well, that was a trip. I swear, if any of them have hurt themselves I'll-"
"Now, now Michal, let's be positive." Natalie interrupted as she pulled open the large trailer door, lowering the ramp and then disappearing into it.
Excited hoof-beats echoed from within and soon she walked out with a calm blue stallion. His soft eyes took in the surroundings and his large nostrils searched the air for the scent of other horses. She tied the stallion to the trailer and Chris, who was watching from nearby, calmly approached him and gave him a gentle pat on the neck. "Sure is a pretty one." He commented before he began taking off his leg wraps.
"Wait till you see the others." Natalie chided before following John back into the trailer.
"How many did we get?" Chris asked quietly before taking the halter of the red mare which John brought out.
"Four." He replied before turning to get another horse.
"Wow, are they all this pretty?" Chris exclaimed as Natalie pulled out a white mare and began unwrapping her legs.
"Nope!" Natalie teased just before John walked out with the fourth, a lovely black Celestial mare. Jut the way she held herself - so regal and proud - made her look amazing, but her black coat and silvery mane and tail simply added to her beauty. Everyone gasped, looking up from what they were doing. "She's prettier." Natalie suggested.
"Agreed." Came Chris's reply, still standing in front of the antsy red mare, holding her lead tight. "They seem quite restless."
"Well of course." Came John's reply, as if it were obvious. "They've been in that damned trailer for hours, I'd be restless too… in fact, I am. We should let them stretch their legs before putting them in their stalls."
"Man knows what he's talking about." Natalie agreed, way to much energy for her own good.
"And maybe you should join them." John teased as he lead the black mare to the small paddock and unhooked her halter, followed by Chris and Natalie who did the same with their horses.
"You'll get your turn boy." Chris cooed to the blue stallion who watched the others restlessly, still tied to the trailer.
"You can put him in the round pen, Chris." John suggested before closing up the trailer.
