Personality

Proud - "You will show me respect!"
A proud, vain stallion who gladly took his place above all the mares. He expected everyone to respect him though, not just the mares, and if you didn't he would be sure to make you. He would literally beat you to your knees if you refused to bow to him. All he wanted was power and the highest title he could achieve. It is this very desire that brought upon his death.

Mercilous - "Why should I care?"
It didn't matter who you were, Ischyros would show no mercy - not to mares, or even foals. He treated everyone the same, and he treated them like s*. Even his own foals meant nothing to him. All he expected from them was for them to bring glory to his name when they grew up strong. He had a tendancy to give the colts large marks in order to really test if they were truly strong enough to be known as his own foals. Because of this very few of his colts lived to be a year old. He only ever sired a filly once and he was so enraged that he killed both the mare and the filly in his anger.

Impatient - "Quit your crying, we have things to do!"
Making Ischyros wait was not a smart idea. He very easily grew impatient. In fact, there were times when it seemed he was annoyed even when you were on time. With him you were early or you were late, and that was it. He didn't wait around either. If you were late for something he'd just up and leave.

Demanding - "I thought I told you to do someting!"
Acording to Ischyros, everyone was there to do his bidding. He didn't care who you were, if you were nearby when he needed something he would throw the task on you. The only one he didn't order around was the leader and even someties he seemed tempted to throw commands his way too. If you refuse to do as he asked... well yeah, not smart. He very quickly and gladly turned on anyone who decided they weren't going to take his c*.

Explosive - "You f* b*! I should f* kill you right now!"
Not only was he impatient, but he was downright explosive when you pushed him past his limets. His button was one you didn't want to push unless you wanted to be part of a firework display. It didn't take much to upset him and when you managed to do that it wasn't uncomon for him to kill - literally. The herd quickly learned not to upset him, and if they did, they prayed they could run faster than him.

History

Newborn - "They thought I would die. I showed them."
"Shhhh, just try to rest." The mare he called mother soothed as the young colt shivered with fevor. He nodded his head quietly as he curled up into a small little ball, huddling to himself in attempt to keep warm.
"Y-y-yes m-momma." He muttered between chattering teeth, pinning his mismatched ears in irritation at his inability to even speak properly at the moment. Heavy footfalls sounded and he lifted his deep blue eyes to look up at the stallion that approached.
"He'll be dead by morning." The large horse said with a low, unimpressed tone. The mare didn't bother to protest. She sadly agreed. She didn't see how the foal would make it through the night like this.
The colt narrowed his eyes as he watched the horse who called himeslef his father. He would show him. He'd show them all. He'd prove them wrong. He'd survive the fever and then he'd grow up stronger than any of them.

From the very begining they knew the bay splash colt would be strong. His father had been quite careless with his scaring, cutting all the way down the sides of his face. He was a tough little thing though, fighting through the fevor that he was hit with. Despite how close he got to death and the countless days his mother thought he wouldn't make it, he proved them all wrong.

Foalhood - "The colts were foolish, waisting their time and energy frolicking around like a bunch of fillies."
The young splash foal reared up for what had to be the hundreth time, striking at the tree with his front hooves, scraping away a bit more of the wood. By now he'd carved in quite the little dent into the tree. He pinned his ears, grinding his teeth in conscentration as he quickly ducked his head as if dodging a returning strike from the tree. With a sharp snort he twisted around and kicked out at the tree, hitting the same spot and then trotting a few strides away. He'd already worked himself into a sweat just from attacking the tree. He turned to run at it again when he heard another colt calling out to him.
"Hey Issy, quit picking on the innocent tree and come play. You can be our mare." His ears pinnd flat back as he snorted loudly, pawing the ground with a worn hoof, ground short from all of the times kicking the tree.
"Oh go __ ___!" He snapped back before turning to his tree again.

Ischyros did not often play with the other foals. In fact, he avoided them at all costs. They were not very nice to him anyways. They always picked on him, calling him by mare's names and treating him like a mare. He didn't mind though, he had other things to do. He constntly trained and worked hiself, wanting to become the strongest colt that there ever was, and to grow up to be the strongest stallion, some day taking over the herd.

Adolescence - "The fools soon learned not to pick on me."
"Dammit Issy get out of the way!" The chestnut young stallion snorted loudly when he slammed into the bay.
"You could learn to watch where you're going." Ischyros said in a low tone, his ears pinned lightly as his tail switched angrily.
"Or you could learn you're f* place." The chestnut grinned as he looked at his buddies, all who nodded their heads and laughed, encoraging him on. He gave a sly grin as he spat out "mare." He suddenly lunged at the bay with mouth agape, intending to put him in his place.
Ischyros never missed a beat. Quickly he ducked down and swerved over, leaving the other stallion to stumble forward in surprise. He didn't give him even a moment to readjust. Without a second thought he swung around and threw a double kick at his hocks. With a sharp shriek the chestnut fell to the ground in a heap. The other stallions all stood around in shock, but the bay wasn't done. Rearing up above the stallion he thrust his front hooves in the air. "Who's the mare now?!" He screamed before he brought his hooves down onto the leg of the chestnut. A loud snap echoed around, followed by a horrid scream as the others scattered, running from the "maniac."

As he grew older he grew farther and farther away from the other colts. It wasn't until that fateful day - shortly after the chestnut's coming of age and not too long before Ischyros' - that he finally gained the respect he deserved. It was here that he began to gain his reputation as the mercilous stallion that you avoided at all costs.

Adulthood - "They finally gave me the respect I deserved."
By the time he was a stallion everyone feared and respected him. He was quite well ranked and well known to the herd. There wasn't anyone who wouldn't move out of his way when he walked by. He may have been a freak to them, but that didn't keep them from fearing him. He sired several colts, all of whome died because of his harsh scarring that often spread down their whole face. He never put much care into how it looked or where he actually cut them, just that it was big enough to be a good proof of strength. Ketecho was the first colt to ever survive his mercilous scaring, even dispite the damage done to one of his eyes. Ischyros claimed the foal's dam as his own mare, saying she was the only one able to give him a strong foal. Sure enough, the next foal she gave him was a blue roan colt who survived his slightly rushed, slightly forgiving scaring.

Death - "I made the challenge... and I failed."
The herd was silen when the bay splash stallion fell, his coat splashed in blood and mud to the point you could hardly tell what color he really was supposed to be. He hit the ground with a loud thud, rolling upright in attempt to stand, but his body would not do so for him. He caughed, blood splashing out into the grass in front of him. His ears lay to the side as he looked up just in time to see the hooves coming down to his head and then.... everything went black.

Ischyros was strong, none could deny that, but why he chose that day to challenge the younger stallion for his place as leader no one would ever know. Had he tried for the position years ago when he was young and able he would surely have won, but he didn't. He waited until he was old, his body starting to get stiff, his movements slow. It seemed a foolish dicision, and one that would cost his life.
